Enderman Aggro when not looking at them

Enderman start attacking you without looking into their eyes. After simply walking through them, or near them occasionally they become aggro towards you. Making it nearly impossible to fight the dragon without a pumpkin. Also impossible to explore the end, even looking straight at the ground still seems to make them angry at you.

"Walking through them" could be interpreted as an attack; I wouldn't recommend it, and it might be intended that it sets them off.

Are you aware that if you anger one enderman any others nearby will attack as well? This is normal in the End, where endermen are close together. Could that explain what you're experiencing?

That is definitely a possibility of what happens, but I was under the impression that enderman should only become angered when attacking them, or looking at their eyes. I tried this with just one enderman in the overworld alone, and after walking near it, looking at about the knees, it becomes angry.

On Previous versions of the game, Java, or XBone edition, you could walk through the end with your head straight down without angering any enderman.

Thank you

Also reported in MCPE-27664. I have a video attached on that one that shows an enderman becoming aggressive when looking at around 'knee' level. Previously you had to look at their face. I'm pretty sure that it's not the collision making them become aggressive, but the fact that it is impossible to maintain your gaze at an enderman lower than it's knee when looking straight down and passing through them, since your eyes are above their waist.

We have been experiencing Enderman going agro when not looking in thier direction at all and attacking you from behind. This has occurred multiple times now but apparently only to the world's host on the Xbox One. Just last night I saw one attack my wife from behind well she was planting in a garden and never looked in its direction at all. That joker came from a long ways away and went past me (also a pretty good distance from my wife). Neither of us looked in its direction and I didn't notice it until the agro sound and it zoomed on by.

I was going to create and issue myself because I have found that endermen attack without the player causing them to become so. the player just has to be near the, to make them attack in the latest release 1.2.3

I've had Endermen attack me suddenly. I never even seen them on the screen let along looked at them. He just got very uppity and decided he didn't like me.

I experienced this behavior in 1.4.3 and this ticket better matches my experience than MCPE-28503. It was similar to when it is raining in the overworld, which I had chalked up to them teleporting in front of the player, whereas normally it is difficult to aggro an Enderman in the overworld (have to target with a bow). I didn't notice endermen teleport in front of me in the End  but quite a few aggro'd for no discernible reason (I didn't look at their waist or walk through them).
