When I try to create a new world, with the (Old) with the output, I keep getting a shaded gray area all the way around within 20 seconds of running from the landing zone when you spawn in. If you want a picture I can show you..
I can play on Infinite all I want, and it doesn't screw up, but when I play with the old as the output when I create the new world, I can't even go anywhere. I know the grey represents the border, but 30 seconds away from the starting point? Really? In all directions, My chunk count is the highest, I try the lowest and same result.
This is stupid!

If this is what it says; on the wiki, than why is the barrier less than 50 blocks from the spawn point on the "Old" Type worlds than?
The bedroom barrier shows, less than 50 blocks, not 256 like in previous versions like the 360 for instance; when I spawn in, i run less than 30 seconds in any direction and can see it.

This world type has a finite area of 256×256 blocks with an invisible bedrock barrier surrounding it.
My worlds spawn like 70x70, not 256x256 like on the 360 version.
The old world type border is 127 to -128 (16x16 chunks total). On xbox 360 the smallest world setting (classic) is 864×864 (54×54 chunks).
It is not intended for the old world type setting to work as the console edition sized worlds, but just a setting that still exists from the early days of pocket edition.
If you still think there is a bug, please supply a step by step guide following the issue guidelines below (or video or images showing the issue with coordinates enabled).

However, this issue is Working as Intended.
The old world setting refers to a pocket edition feature 256×256 blocks worlds. https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/World_type#Bedrock_Edition_exclusive.
