Baby Horse clipping glitch

I breed alot of horses donkeys etc. in the worlds and realm I play on and have noticed 2 clipping glitches with them.
1: when tied to my fence with a lead they sometimes walk into it and clip into the ground
underneath and start taking damage.
2:I'v noticed after several breedings when I'd leave the area or log out and come back the
young horses etc. would be outside the pen roaming the plains when there is plenty of space
inside the pen where they where to begin with.
I'd greatly appreciate if you could look into this, I've lost a few horses to these glitches and now i have to standby the whole time they grow up to ensure they don't meet a tragic end.
