Items don't flow from source water is flowing from

In previous versions if you had a source block with water flowing away from it then items dropped in the source block would move in the direction of the flowing water. In the new update the items never move anywhere.

I have provided a screenshot of a test setup. In previous versions dispensed items would always be carried away by the flowing water, now they don't.

This is definitely not a bug. Source blocks of water or lava, dosen't have currents, only the moving ones.

It always worked in previous versions There should be a current since water is flowing out of the source block.

Fixed in 1.5.0.1

It seems to be fixed in 1.5.0.7 as well. Only the 1.4 versions seem to have the bug.

This is in the changelog for 1.5 beta.

  • Items will no longer get stuck in flowing water source block
