Stuck in lefty-mode

I wake up my iPod and tap Minecraft pocket edition and play it for about 30 minutes. I then go to twitter, In the process deleting MCPE from the task/"currently running apps" bar. When I finish with twitter I go back to MCPE and then all of my worlds, and all game modes are stuck in lefty mode, regardless of whether the lefty mode is turned on or of, or if I use split controls. I'm not sure if his is happening to everyone, because it was working fine for me not ten minutes before, but if you had to reproduce the bug, you would...

1. Play MCPE on 0.7.0 (0.6.1) for any length of time
2. Switch to different app and/or delete MCPE from task bar
3. Return to MCPE and try to play.
