When I get on my iPod and I want to smelt something I try to go to the slot of the furnace where you put coal or wood and It won't let me go to the slot and I can't use the furnace because It won't let me put any thing in it.

For one thing, this is one of many duplicates of this issue. For another, just update to 0.7.1 🙂.
Duplicate of MCPE-2453, please use the search function to see if your bug has already been submitted. Currently over 60% of tickets are being closed as duplicate.
Same thing happens to me.
