scaling up the render distance to 12 chunks is useless because the entities only appear around 64 blocks around you which is absolutely garbage when now days consoles are very good and can handle rendering entities 150 blocks around you. I would suggest to make a slider for entity render distance.

In my opinion there should be two sliders in settings:
Entity render distance: (set as a percentage of main view distance, affects mobs like animals, hostile mobs and dropped items, defaults to 50%)
Static entity render distance: (set as a percentage of main view distance, affects beacon/end gateway beams, chests, end crystal (beams) and paintings, defaults to 90%)
64 blocks (or technically 4 chunks plus the one you are in) is really too low. Keeping the game compatible for 4 year old phones shouldn’t keep it from working well on better devices.
