Cats don't spawn in player created villages

Some cats did spawned in my player made villages. Playing on Android, beta 1.11.0.5.

I was mistaken, confirmed to be wrong.

I built a house to contain villagers as well as long buildings made of doors. but they're all old villagers in old terrain. If I put beds in will stray cats spawn, or do I have to go into new chunks to find a village?

@Theresa Mackillop you'll have to make the villagers claim beds as their own. When that happens, it gets considered a village and cats spawn around.

They're old villagers, some from the original breeding from cured zombie villagers and they're at least 6 years old. I'm not sure if they'll even do that

@Theresa Mackillop don't worry, they will. Just make sure that everyone has a bed.

My stupid villagers won't even breed anymore; I'm not so sure. But I'll put beds all over the place

Have you tried the beta 1.11.0.7 to see if cats do spawn in player-created villages?

We were unable to reproduce the problem you are describing in the latest version.
