I killed some villagers that were on the outskirts of the village and were too much of a hassle to move back, i killed quite a few, but I thought the villager happiness had a minimum happiness level. I've traded quite a bit but I can't get the golems to stop attacking me. I've even tried letting them kill me. No luck.

I am having the same issue as well. I killed quite a few villagers myself and no matter what I do for the villagers the Golems will not stop being hostile towards me. It is a major nuisance!
To get around this issue destroy all beds and workstations in an 80 block raidus of the village. Then let one minecraft day pass. After that Place all beds and workstations back down again. Should count as a new village.

Having the same issues as well. Even defended the village from all rounds of a Pillager attack. Yet, Golems still continue to attack unrelentingly. I have not tried to remove all the beds and workstations to 'reset' the village. If anyone can confirm it will reset the village and make the Golem's happy. Let me know.
Thank you for your report!
