I can't purchase anything from the mindcraft store. It states can't can't complete purchase. Check your internet connection. The connection is fine. I can buy anything from the Xbox live store, play online. Just can't buy from mindcraft. This only started happening on Friday. I've tried re-installing, clearing the cache. Nothing works. It happens on both of my Xbox consoles.

Same problem here for at least a couple days now. Can't renew my realm, can't purchase anything from the Minecraft Store. I get the exact same error message, “Sorry, we were unable to complete your purchase. Maybe check your internet connection?”. My internet connection is fine. Other, non-Minecraft purchases from the Microsoft store are fine.
I wonder if this has something to do with the beta that was accidentally rolled out to me on XB1, then resolved with the 1.11.0 or 1.11.1 release (???)
I'm having this same issue although I'm using v1.11.1
