Aight. So I made a 8 story tall skyscraper and got some villagers in it. I had placed beds on every single floor, along with crafting stations. Annoyingly, they're staying in the basement and 1st floor, and they haven't filled the beds except the ones on the 1st floor. Note, I did make the floors out of stone slabs so I think that's the issue. Also, I have noted that sometimes the villagers in the basement seem to look up at rhe villagers on the 1st floor. I suspect it's probably because the floors are slabs.

Why is this still unconfirmed?
I have had that similar problem. They wouldn't go up on stairs made out of stair or block to the second floor made out of normal blocks, example; stone, stone brick, etc
