Villagers Disappear

Hello, I have some concerns I'd like to share with you. In each of my Minecraft survival world's that I've made (I say each because I keep having to redo them) the villagers all end up disappearing after I leave to go explore. It is extremely frustrating that each time I have a good established base I can't use it because my villagers for trading vanish into thin air. I know it isn't the pillagers because I play in peaceful mode. It's happened a few times now and I'm on my third redone world and it happened again. I don't even want to play anymore because I can't explore without sacrificing my base. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to get them back, or if you can please fix this. I hate having to redo and redo and redo.

I have the same issue playing on iOS, in survival peaceful mode. When I first started the world I was on easy mode and there were plenty of villagers. I changed to peaceful mode and there were still plenty of villagers. But I went exploring and when I came back a few days later there were only two left. The iron golem was gone too. I found other villages on my travels and the first one I visited had a few people, then after a few days only two left. Other villages I found after that had no villagers at all - they were empty but were large and well lit, had doors, beds etc. They’re not being killed as I’m on peaceful. It’s very frustrating and there’s no point in playing with such a bug present. Please fix!
