I had a world created in 0.7.2 with a furnace with some coal in it. I attempted to remove the coal from the fuel area and have also from the smelted area and both times the app crashes back to IOS.
I have since discovered that Resetting the IOS device cures this bug. It may have been something cached from the update install.

Yes, it does happen to me, but this bug report is not specific enough. The crash only happens when you QUICKLY remove the item from the furnace, but removing it after a couple of seconds would not crash it. This bug should be fixed, especially for people who works fast with the game.
Device: IPhone 4S
Current Version: 0.7.3
MCPE-5215 reports that this is happening with 0.7.4 ?!?
I have version v0.11.1 Alpha being used on an iPad 4 with iOS 8.1.1 and it just crashed on me. Here's what I was doing prior to the crash. I placed around 64 iron blocks in the top. I place a block of coal in the bottom. When the flame was almost gone, I place one lump of coal in bottom. When I noticed that the iron was almost done and the lump of coal hadn't been used yet, I tried to remove it and use a couple sticks instead, but when I clicked on the coal to extract it, well..... Hello, desktop. I lost a lot of iron and that sucks. Ticked me off too. Please, please fix this quickly. Thank you.
Hmmmm weird... i have an iPod Touch 5g and the furnace is working perfectly
