Unable to import .mc(pack/world/template/addon) to Minecraft

When trying to import a custom .mcpack to use in one of my worlds I found that there was no "open in Minecraft" option and in files the .mcpack files show up as blank pages instead of pages with the Minecraft icon on them. I tried the same for a .mcworld template and the same thing happened.

This only happens on the iOS 13 public beta

Workaround

(only works if you have a computer available)

  1. Download the .mcpack

  2. Change the file extension from .mcpack to .zip

  3. Upload it to the iCloud Drive

  4. If it’s a behaviour pack Copy the file to Minecraft > games > com.mojang > behavior_packs

  5. If it’s a resource pack Copy the file to Minecraft > games > com.mojang > resource_packs

  6. Check to see if the pack is valid

  7. add to desired world

  8. play world, eat cake, mine diamonds
