Cured villagers keep despawning

everytime I cure a zombie villagers in my survival world they keep despawning if I get away from them for too long (I sadly have no screenshot of them being there sadly)

i believe your villagers despawned because they need food just like the player. if theres no farmer and wheat farm for the farmer to harvest from villagers will die from hunger just like the player in hard difficulty

Wait since when is THAT a thing? It doesn't work like that in java so why would it work like that in bedrock? That just makes it even more confusing
