I spawned near a village of 9 houses with 2 golems, and I expanded it to have 23 beds and 22 job site blocks. I had also put torches every 3 blocks, removed all the irregular holes in the ground and walled the village in 3-block high walls to prevent any hostile mobs from incoming. There are no gates in this fort.
For the more-than-a-month that I spent on the world, the *villagers bred, and everything was fine. *But one day, when I logged into my world, there was all but 6 villagers. In shock,* I added 8 more job site blocks and 10 more beds near the village centre* (with two bells), yet the villagers (who were unemployed, NOT nitwits) would not take any profession.
In a few day-and-night cycles, the number has dropped all the way to 1. The golems are still around, but all the villagers that I have traded who went up to journeyman or master level, are now all gone.
What I found was a disappearing-villager bug that people reported on Java 1.14, yet I was on the Windows 10 version, which led me to ask if this would be a bug.

I can back this up, I've also had this happen in the Realm I'm playing in. I'm on Minecraft for Windows 10 & I've been looking for villages that are larger than normal so I can convert several Villager professions quickly.
I've also made sure they have enough beds, lighting, and safety from fall damage, yet for WHATEVER REASON the Village randomly dwindles in size. Sometimes it's almost instant & the village goes from over 14 Villagers to having 3, and other times it goes from 14 to about 8 or 9, then stays at around 6 or 7.
I had this exact problem yesterday in a village that was fully populated, I did some inventory management and when I was ready to start trading, there were only 2 farmers left in the entire Village? There hadnt even been a full Day/Night cycle so I know they werent killed off by mobs.
