So basically, when you edit your height in-game, your character will become corrupt, basically just messing things up. This effects in-game and the menus as well. From what I know, it doesn't effect anything else, just height. You also have to switch around between them one or two times. Changing anything else will bring it back to normal. Think that's everything.
