I was Doing Some Other Things in my Minecraft world and came back To my village to find that around 90% of my villagers changed Profession And that some Villagers that somehow Never got a profession no matter how hard i tried. its a bit frustrating since i spent alot of time trying to upgrade the level of my villagers. theres no real way to get back the levels other than earning it back but i dont want this happening to me or other players again. We are seeing the same issue, although not on as large a scale. My Wife and I are both on Bedrock Edition on Xbox, seperate consoles, playing on a Realm.
We have saved several towns, put up walls, and ensured employment for villagers, and increased our Librarian section in each town, with between 4-8 librarians. We use nametags and name them to quickly identify them by what they are selling (Mr. Mender, Ms. Unbreakable, Ms. Silky, etc). We do the same thing with Farmers (Mr. Carrot, Mr. Wheat, Mr. Potato, etc). We have had Librarians change professions AFTER being leveled up to master - for example, we lost Ms. Efficiency IV as a librarian, when we came back one day and she was now a fisherman. Likewise, my wife had leveled Mr. Carrot in one town, up to a master level farmer, and he decided one day that he would now be a Librarian.....selling bookshelves....
Sounds like that's what happened to my high-level fletcher. Very annoying. Seems like we need to lock them up (like I have done with my mending book librarian 😃 )
Having similar problems with my villagers losing professions tho it seems mine just become unassigned tho some may change so have heaps of my partly levelled up librarians disappearing and more unassigned, I think they wont choose another profession because they actually are partly levelled up as librarians. I have started a new library away from village and confined them to small rooms 2 librarians per room with bed lecterns in the rooms. so far so good none lost professions, I wonder if its to do with them crossing chunks in the village going to their beds. On bedrock windows 10 btw
was very annoyed to lose my mending villager in the village. So now have new librarians I am training up
You could try confining them like I have to see if the remaining ones keep their trades as a temporary fix til this bug is sorted
