Discovered a couple new villages and in both cases the villagers never adopted professions. Plenty of beds, doors, prof tables present. The problem is made worse by the golem straying out of the village so villagers are killed off pretty quickly by Illagers and zombies.

Update. This may be a server issue. We saw the same behavior for a few days and then we finally saw new unemployed villagers adopt professions. We’ve been interacting with villagers a lot so I’m sure this wasn’t our imagination. I think it depends on which server we happen to connect to.
