Despite the friends screen icon showing a "1" to show the lan game it says "None of your friends are playing minecraft right now"
The other way around if you try and join the xbox one game from Android, it sees the game but never manages to join. It gets as far as "Loading resources" and then drops back to the menu.

Experiencing this same issue in 1.14.1. The Xbox One only shows a number ("1") on the Friends tab for sessions in progress running on Windows 10, Android and the Bedrock dedicated server. Have voted for this issue to increase visibility and posted full details of my experience in MCPE-60667.
