At random times when traveling to and from the nether, I will be teleported into blocks of some kind and be stuck in the "Building Terrain" loading screen unable to act while I hear myself dying after I die I do experience the "You Died" screen with my character model a block or two from my nether portals proper position. When I respawn all my items are gone, nowhere to be seen around the nether portal inside or outside the nether. This seems to occur randomly, as at times it does function properly.

This happened to me as well. but since I first experienced the other bug teleporting to the wrong location in the nether and having to find my way back to the nether portal I emptied my stuff into a box before trying to portal back to the overworld only to suffocate and die with the death screen looking like I was at the portal in the overworld as expected. I didn't have any items to lose so I'm glad I deposited them into the box in the nether first. I'm scared to use the nether portals until they release a hotfix or something because its too much of a gamble going through the portals and losing all your stuff to a location I cant identity.

Same thing just happened to me.

Teleported me to a wall where I suffocated on the loading screen and died, resulted after accidentally throwing a trident before teleporting... Lost a lot of valuables and was never able to recover them 😞
