Even I a completely dark space I still can't spawn mobs I'm in the non beta version and just want a fix thank you

Had the same issue on Beta and releases - check your entity count: I had 30++++  Chickens+50 Bees, 5 horses, 30 Mooshrooms, + 40+ villagers = 150+ - when you get to 200 (overall cap) its like your playing on peaceful because NOTHING spawns hostile or friendly (no fish in sea, it was weird)- I checked my chickens and they had glitched out and kept egg spawning (unlimited) until they topped out at 200+ - once I had corrected my farms the game spawned fine again - its not perfect and we still dont have immediate despawns in the main (like Java) but its getting there...HTH
