Multiplayer Client Bug

I have a nexus 4 and a 2013 nexus 7 tablet and me and my friend have been testing the new update out on them and a problem we come across is the person who joins the server (client) can not place blocks as they disappear and also if they do place blocks they usually get transformed into some random block type.
