All armor is diamond.

Are you able to provide a screenshot or video of this issue in action? Can you also please confirm you have any texture packs switched off.

I just tested this on Windows 10 and it does not appear to be affected, so might help to understand what the difference is. Will give it a shot on Xbox tonight.

I tried doing it again and i did it by putting on a full set of diamond armor and then get another kind of armor in your hot bar and quick switch the armor sets. I tried putting a picture but I dont know how on a phone.

It will also happen on an armor stand.

I left the armor stand for a while and came back and i turned into the armor it is supposed to be.

It looks like the issue relates to switching armour rather than anything specific to diamond. I just replicated on Windows 10. Thank you.

I did look up the issue I was having and found nothing but that issue isn't a duplicate of the one I was having it was very similar but not a duplicate.

What makes you think they're not the same? The only difference is the type of armour worn to begin with, the underlying bug though is that armour changes don't accurately represent on the character.
