So i was doing a demo of what to use as furnace fuel and carpets, wool and chests didn't work.

Using carpets and wool as fuel is currently only in the Java edition of the game, and we don't currently track parity requests on the bug tracker.
If you wish to request it be added to the Bedrock version of the game, please feel free to head over to https://feedback.minecraft.net and suggest it there (or upvote an existing one if it exists - please don't forget to search first! 🙂 )
Chests currently work as fuel in the Bedrock version (tested against both the current release version of the game. If you're unable to get that working please feel free to log a bug report for that issue. Please however make sure to include as much information as possible (there's a great guide on the summary page for this project) including screenshots and videos if possible.
