Sign words disappear

This issue does not just happen on one device. It happens to me across platforms on a realm. But it does not happen to other members of the realm. The realm is made from the skyblock marketplace world. It has old style villagers, iron golems do not spawn naturally for some reason, and villagers breed without doors, or trading, infinitely. All of these things we have managed to deal with and chalked them up to the type of world it is, being from the marketplace.

but now, suddenly I cannot write on signs! It happened suddenly. I was writing down villagers trades on signs over their cells. I wrote on sign. And it was fine. Then, I wrote another. The letters immediately disappeared!! It was written 

“34P=1E

32E=blast2”

I have tried variants including writing out the words rather than shorthand. It does not work. I have tried writing on other signs in other spots, even using different words. I am an admin so I can switch game modes, no matter survival or creativ, Every sign I write comes out blank!

2 place a sign
3 write  anything

4exit sign as usual

5. the words disappear.

this has happened multiple times on multiple days starting yesterday.

i expect the words to be visible.

i also play on windows 10 on a dell laptop. It does the same there.
