Chest Content Disappears in Survival

On my iPad 2, I have realized that when I put items in a chest (single or double) it disappears! I put my stuff in the chest, exit out of the game, close out the game by double tapping the home button and then enter back into my own world. All the stuff is gone! I found I have to play Minecraft without using chests! The more stuff you put in the chest at a time, the more likely you're stuff will disappear. Sometimes the stuff reappears in your inventory after coming into the game, but it does not happen often. Please fix as soon as possible! Thanks, The Official Bug Finder.
