Carrots, Beets, and Wheat grow very slow.

I was on this survival world and I made a farm. I was growing the above. I was playing for about 2 hours and only 1 Wheat plant, 1 carrot was finished growing. I also have the XBOX360 edition (and the PC edition) and it takes about 1-3 Minecraft days for about 20 wheats to grow.
