It's just because of these features.
1. mcpe don't have sneak so they added so that when you look forward and tap, you can place block in front of the block you're standing(sorry for bad explain=test it yourself 😉
2. Creative can insta mine blocks when you hold down after breaking blocks then aim nothing then block. You cam use this to mine pillars while going down.
