This has been bugging me. Chests are a very bright orange like they are giving off their own light. Even when it is surrounded with blocks, it is still very bright. Pls don't mark dupe caus' my com's laggy and the search function doesn't work. This glitch has been around since the 0.7.3 New Chest Texture and sound. I'll get a screengrab of my game.
