Levers on both sides of door don’t open door

I created a flush door made of redstone which works fine with one lever on one side of the door, but when using the 2 levers on both sides of the door, it does not work. For example, when closing the door on one side, and someone tries to open the door from the other side, the door would not open; but say you remove the lever on one side and attach it to the other side, the door would open. I should be able to open my door on both sides of it because that’s how doors work. Fix immediately cause this may be the most frustrating bug of all time, cause leave my own room.

This isnt a bug, thats just how redstone works, you are powering from one side, the other lever just powers it more, not it unpowers it this is why people use buttons.
say you have a light, if you turn it on its on, but if you turn it on again it wont turn off
