Exploring the nether in survival mode. Became hungry as usual (3 missing slots). Ate a cooked chicken and then another and another and so on. Blew through a stack of chicken even after no longer hungry. I wanted to see how much I could eat. This is not typical unless I am consuming chorus fruit.

Though I only showed a couple pictures, I ate an entire stack of cooked chicken. If this is intended game play to introduce gluttony, then I guess we have to know. I personally like having a full saturation bar and punching zombies with food. In MCPE, if you are always hungry, the controls are such that you can't punch. Maybe I could configure the controls a bit differently, but I've used the same/default controls for at least 3 years now.
Were you in peaceful difficulty? Per MCPE-49963 you are able to eat in both creative and peaceful difficulty which would explain what you saw but you also mention hitting Zombies (which wouldn't be peaceful).

I was in peaceful mode. My reference to Zombies was normal game play on higher difficulties. I like using food as weapons sometimes. Thank you for referencing MCPE-49963. I guess in the past 3 years, I have not used peaceful mode 🙂, but for testing the beta version, I did.
I am in xbox one , and when I eat at least 3-4 things, after my hunger is full, I still eat one more thing. It takes that item too.
