[MCPE-76166] Maps and locator maps not appearing

Locator maps are not appearing on the main nor the secondary slot. Using an empty one doesn't appear on either slots, either. Moving around makes the map flicker

What I expected: I want to fill out my map

What Happened: Map not showing up

Steps to reproduce: Use any locator map, in Survival/Creative.

I’m experiencing the same. Cannot pop them out of the frame so it is not clear they are actually there. Maps remain in inventory and chests but can’t be viewed in any way.

In Windows 10 PC v.1.16.0.60 Beta, maps are invisible in either hand (off hand and Hot Bar), see screenshots above. This renders the Beta unplayable.

Also have this issue on windows 10 beta and desperately NEED maps! However, super happy to see it's a bug as I didn't notice it missing until in Nether and thought it might've been a parity thing!

Also applies to treasure maps. However, I unintentionally was running and jumping with the hotbar spot holding the map chosen (unable to see it) and it would flash visible very briefly once in a while. The off hand does not seem to do this as I'm still carrying my regular locator map in that hand. I can't get the flashing to last long enough, often enough, or consistent enough to determine what makes it flash visible or to read the map effectively
