When I have an enchant of channeling on the Trident, I hit a zombie, a skeleton, or any other mob in the rain, the mob doesn't get lightning on it (I have no way of filming it)

Are you throwing it during a thunderstorm? Channeling only summons lightning during thunderstorms.
