While playing I got an item in my inventory that I didn't recognize, it had no name, the texture seemed like a spawner egg tile, this item was categorized under "Nature" and it could only be removed from the inventory by putting it in a chest of dragging it out of the inventory window then dropping it. After using a world editor I checked what the item was and its name was minecraft:item.nether_sprouts.
