The reason I mention these two issues together is because I think they're related.
My game is somewhat large – like 300 MB.
It seems that about every 1/4 times that I quit, the disk size on my game has been reduced by 1 or 2 MB and various items are missing. This is extremely frustrating when I have been mining for gold and 1/4 of the gold is missing the next time I open the game. It's happened with items in my inventory, items I've laid down (power rails, tracks, wood blocks, stone blocks).
I have plenty of disk space on my device – over 2 GB and the game doesn't crash.
I would be more than happy to provide a copy of my saved game.
Either way, I mention these two in the same bug because it seems they may be related (ie: file size reduced and missing items). Also, it's really frustrating b/c I spent a very long time looking for gold ...
The file size does fluctuate for some reason, but I don't think they are related
