This bug does not seem to occur on Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 running MCPE 0.10.5.

From Michael's screenshots I see the exterior light grey and interior dark grey lines are misaligned between the powered and unpowered rails.

On my Android device I tried placing both rail types in survival and creative on top of different blocks and beside water as shown in the screenshots. I observed the rails from different angles but at all time the rails (the exterior light grey and interior dark grey lines) were properly aligned between the powered and unpowered rails.

Michael, do your rails always show this problem, no matter how you place them, or is there a specific way to place the rails/blocks to cause this bug?

It doesn't necessarily have to be next to water, it just happens to be there lol, but if the rails are curved they are aligned properly, if they are straight then they don't align. Either this isnthe cause or it is the device

Confirmed on iPad mini 2 iOS 8.1.3

Confirmed on iPad Mini 1st Generation running 0.10.4. Almost looks like the red and gold of the texture is an overlay on top of the rail texture

Confirmed on iPod 5 (iOS 8.3) running 0.11.1.

I can confirm this on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Android 5.0 Version: 0.11.1

It is harder to see with high resolution devices. Look VERY closely
