I created a realm to play with a friend last night, and all went great. Wanted to connect to it again this morning, and I get a message saying "Unable to connect to world". I am the creator of the world (xbox user name : pathamm5297), and the realm is called "Bob's Impaling".
A help page mentioned to try closing and opening the realm, but even when I try closing the realm, I get an error message that indicates "Failed to close realm".
I'm playing on PC, and my friend is playing on a Switch, not sure if that has anything to do with the problem though. He is on the other side of the world and currently sleeping, so can't ask him to test. Other games have no problem connecting to the internet, and I can still play local saves.
I tried contacting Minecraft help, got a message stating :
"I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your game. Unfortunately, we are currently limited mostly to account issues and billing and our current tech support is limited at this time.
I would recommend reporting this as a bug to our database to help our developers resolve the issue. Please report it at; https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa so that a moderator and/or developer can take a look and be sure to provide as much information as possible."

Also, are you able to download your world Patrick? I try to download mine and it tells me my storage is full and I need to clear space... I have 200GB+ free...
Hi Paul, I hadn't tried downloading, just did to see if I get the same issue as you do, it's been on a message saying Initializing Download for a few minutes now, nothing is happening. I definitely don't have disk space problems and the world can't be larger than a few megabytes, only started last night and we didn't explore much.
Edit : 10 minutes later still stuck on initializing download, only thing I could do was quit out of the game.
Well that’s somewhat of a similar outcome. It happens instantly for me though, it doesn’t even attempt to download anything. The second I press it I get told my storage is full.
Hopefully this gets resolved soon, I have big plans for my world 🤣
My realm has ‘magically’ started working again, I did however try changing the resource pack because my was losing connection at ‘Loading resources’ it didn’t seem to work at first but maybe that’ll help you if you’re is not back up just yet.
I have the same issue, I’ve had my realm a couple months now though. Contacted customer support and received the exact same email as you did.
Im playing on mobile but still the exact same version and issue. It all started when they did the maintenance the other day, never had much of an issue until then.
