When attacking a shield, there is no delay, like attacking an entity. Because of this mobs (especially the ender dragon) can tear down your shield very quickly. However, there is a hit delay for shields on java.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have the ender dragon start attacking you (After it has rested in the middle)
(This can also happens with a lot of mobs attacking you at once,
or a player attacks you multiple times)
What was meant to happen:
1. The shield like the player should have a cool down between attacks,
similar to the player having a brief cool down between attacks where they canβt take damage.
What was observed:
The shield took every single attack with no cool down.
I havenβt tested yet but windows 10 players with auto clickers
may be able to take down your shield very quickly.
(If they put blocks behind them)
Why I deem this as a bug:
I deem this as a bug because, on the java edition, shields have a brief cool down so it canβt get hit very quickly. However, this may be the intended design since shields on the bedrock edition deal knockback back to the attacker. However, without the cool down the attacker, probably spam clicking, will take an absurd amount of knock back.
This is best observed with the ender dragon, as stated earlier in this reply.
It will take a fully mended shield to βredβ durability with one attack coming from the center.
And yes, this is still a thing in the latest version.
