My friend and I are unable to join each others world. When I try to join my friend’s world ( Windows 10) I always get stuck at locating server screen unable to completely load in, meanwhile my friend can see me in the world but unmoving and not be able to interact.
If my friend tries to join a world of mine (Minecraft P.E. IOS) she will connect but she is unable to mine or interact with the world and is unable to see me.

Currently my friend can join worlds that I’m hosting and I have tested this with other players with different computer specs, and they are also capable of joining my worlds. The problem still is that I can’t join their worlds and the invitations just don’t even arrive as they used to do

Another update;
My friend is again unable to play properly on my worlds as he cannot do anything but walk around unable to mine blocks or open doors. meanwhile in my perspective he just remains stationary on the place he loads in. I myself am still unable to join a world that’s hosted by a Windows 10 player and I can’t receive any invites from them.

Another update, my friend got the mobile version on iPhone to try that way but we got exactly the same issues when she joined my world and I’m still unable to connect to her world at all even when we share the same platform

my game will not allow me to join others worlds because it pops up “Unable to connect to world” its happened to us multiple times and me and my friend will be sitting on FaceTime trying for hours to fix it but it still keeps saying it is unable to connect when my friend is obviously online and on the world. When I am able to join the world it’s supper laggy and it’s not the cause of our internet’s because they’re both high speed. Please help us by fixing this!

I sometimes find that I have to remove the game on my Kindle's and reinstall it.
This seems to coincide with updates. The problem is that it also deletes the worlds too.
Try forcing updates I'm sure there is info on how to do that on most devices. Like google play sometimesmakes me accept terms again b4 updating.
I'm not sure if kindles can be updated but I find it easyer to just reinstall for my kids since they usually just connect to my worlds.
