Cant upgrade nothing to netherite and yes i am using the smithing and the crafting table none of those work

I was playing on survival mode on hard hoping to enjoy the new nether update and after i explore it for hours finally i found a cave and when i got my first ancient stuff my game crashed and i have to wait like 3 hours because the beautifull mojan and loading stuck screen bug and when the game finally decide to load i return to my house to craft my first netherite piece and now when i put the diamond piece (any) and the lingot in the smith nothing appaer in the right side, is this a bug or what?, can i get a solution? And the same happened with the crafting table
