the game has crashed multiple times in the 1.16 update on ps4. When it does the villagers in my iron golem farm will randomly dissapear, its always a random amount of them. Sometimes 10 sometimes 3. Unsure what causes the crashing in the first place. I dont need to be near farm or.have it loaded for the villagers to despawn

I've have had this same issue. My game crashed and we lost our Loom villager. It's happened twice now. I am on the windows 10 version and we do not own a Iron Farm, just a regular trading hall.
