villagers don't take a profession and disappear

I have a problem with the villagers, I created my house in a villa, I made walls and put lighting on everything so that the villagers do not die, but, it did not help. Every time I go on an adventure, when I return, several villagers have already disappeared, and it is absolutely impossible for them to cross the wall. But, that is not the main problem. The big problem is, my villagers are not taking a profession, they are adults and yet they are not taking a profession, the only ones who are taking a profession, are the ones who survived since I created my house, which most disappeared from nowhere, as I said above, those who stayed did not disappear and they were the only ones to take a profession, the villagers who were born from them, do not take a profession, no matter how many are born. So please, fix this bug in my world.
