[MCPE-89867] Minecraft won't start

Since updating to Bedrock 1.16 minecraft will not start. The update to 1.16.1 didn't help. I get the red boot screen, then the older white boot screen and minecraft logo and progress bar, then just before it goes into the title screen is crashes out and closes.
Once every 10 attempts I might see some purple graphics in the background after the progress bar, as if the title menu is about to work, then boom, gone, closes, kaput!
1.14.60 was perfect, no issues. We now have nothing, no minecraft and a £25 receipt in the Microsoft store. 😞 👎
My son is gutted really down about this. As parents we have to deal with the issue, he keeps asking us to email Mojang and ask why he can't play. Please help, please, something
Perhaps there's a was to downgrade to 1.14.60????

I am having the same issue, crashes on opening screen after updating. iPad pro.

I fixed it, formatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows. a bit extreme, but it worked. I was previously on Windows 10 Home N and now just have normal Windows 10 Home, perhaps that was the issue, I don't know, but it's working now.
