Tamed horses vanishing, creepers exploding inside build when I am more than 20 blocks away.

Been building for MONTHS. Today I update and when I go on o grab my best horse and go for a ride. I exit the game on the horse, and when I log on... The horse and 3 others are completely gone. No saddles where they were tethered and no armour. Poofed. Then as I'm approaching my build I suddenly see 2 explosions by the one tower wile I am quite far. One outside a tower and one in my craft room. I enter through the hole in the tower to see the craft room and it appears that 2 creepers exploded randomly. All my ocelots and dogs are not where I left them either. What on earth is happening? This world is not on a server and is all survival. I'm the only player on it. These don't seem like typical bugs. Attached are pictures. One of where I was when I logged off wile still on horse, however I log back on and its gone, and the other is the hole from a random explosion
