Piglin brutes get angry if you destroy a chest or a gold block near them.

How to reproduce:

  1. Spawn a piglin brute in an enclosure so that it cannot escape or see the player.

  2. Place and break a chest or a gold block near them.
    --> The piglin brute gets angry ❌

  1. Piglin Brute cannot barter or wear armor

  2. Always aggressive to the player, even wearing golden armor.

  3. Can spawn in peaceful difficulty with passive behavior .[Bedrock Edition only]

  4. Have higher health compared the piglins have 16 health points.

  5. Piglin Brutes are "brutal" means aggresive.

  6. Unlike piglin brute, Also piglins are passive when wearing golden armor. But anger when opening the containers such as chest.

If piglin brutes noticing chests being destroyed was an intended feature, this report would have been closed as Working as Intended, but since it has rather been fixed, we can conclude that it was indeed a bug on Bedrock's side.
