Resource packs with custom bones break partially

When trying to use a resource pack, of which which was discussed in a previous report of mine, for breaking in a different way, when the animation is intended to show the legs walking/running, the legs... don't move at all. Except on at least one specific animation, where in seems to either move up or down slightly, but not rotate at all. Another addon that adds extra joints causes the player's model to only move the head in any way. I added both addons that I found had problems in the beta.

 

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Activate resource pack, with correct settings if the NPA one is the one in question, and enter world

  2. Start moving around in a way which would normally trigger the legs to move in rotation to simulate a walk/run

  3. Observe either paper doll or 3rd person view not moving legs

What is expected:

Both packs working fine, and the player's model/bones moving correctly as it did before the update

 

What is observed:

Certain areas of the player act as if there are no bones attached to them, causing them to be unable to move at all in (most) animations.

Update: it happens now with classic skins only, it seems.

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you add it to the affected versions?
