I go to the settings of my survival world, and I try to change the simulation distance, it is by default at number 4, I try to increase it but it stays at 4. I want to know if it is a bug or is it a problem with my device

How old is your device? Are you running other apps or games at the same time. It could be your ram decreasing.
I don't have applications running while I play minecraft, and I don't think I have a problem with the ram on my device ._. . also, in previous versions this also happened to me
