Death by falling from high place when descending ladders on other players servers

Version option not available for v0.11.1 alpha, while playing on other players servers, a "(players user name) fell from a high place" message will appear right after descending a ladder and the player dies. Only occurs when playing on other peoples servers, and does not occur when a player is playing on his/her own server. Proves to be rather frustrating because this problem occurs with ladders of any height.
