Possible to be killed in Creative Mode

So my brother and I were playing this one world and he was in survival doing his own thing, and I was in creative doing mine. I went idle for a second and he came over and killed me while I was in creative. This isn't a huge issue compared to the switch crashing and the Microsoft account resigning in every time but could you please fix this.

Yep I came back later and killed myself using his remotes and made sure he was in survival and I was in creative.

No it was just a normal world, with no mods,or anything like that

No it was really weird it did it for like a day then it wouldn't work anymore
